Nationals News: Trea Turner Upset About Anthony Rendon Signing With Angels

Obviously Anthony Rendon’s former Washington Nationals’ teammate Trea Turner did not take kindly to Rendon signing a 7-year, $245 contact with the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday. Shortly thereafter, Turner released a video posted to twitter in black footy socks.

Undeniably, it could be watched on silent for you to know how Turner feels about losing his veteran teammate.

Furthermore, Turner removes a Rendon shirt from his drawer (it’s awesome he owns a teammate shirt) and then kicks it on the floor. Indeed, it’s got a degree of humor and a little emotion to it. All of this is what makes it a great sports reaction to when a player loses a teammate they care about.

And Rendon isn’t just any teammate, he’s been one of the most consistent Wins Above Replacement (WAR) players in the sport aside from his new teammate Trout.

While it’s been a great few months for the Nationals, tonight marks the low point for them in about a year. Perhaps even lower than in the summer time when they were sputtering and Davey Martinez was almost fired by the organization as manager.

Now the Nationals will try to repeat with Turner, Juan Soto, and newly re-signed Stephen Strasburg as their cornerstones. This reaction by Turner won’t be forgotten for a long while, because it exemplifies the feeling of an entire fan base; deflated, and losing a great player.
