The LPGA Tour shifts to Galloway, New Jersey and the Stockton Seaview Golf Club for the ShopRite LPGA Classic this week. This week’s tournament will feature an absolutely loaded field with Anna Nordqvist in the spotlight once again this week. Nordqvist won this tournament each of the last two years and will be looking to make it three in a row at the Bay Course. Surprisingly, Nordqvist actually isn’t at the top of the list when it comes to the sports betting favorites heading in to the ShopRite LPGA Classic this week.

That title belongs to Inbee Park, whom will be the sports betting favorite to win here this week. The biggest notable absence will be Shanshan Feng, who is coming off a win at the LPGA Volvik Championship last week. With Feng, Ariya Jutanugarn and Lydia Ko all absent from this week’s event the ShopRite LPGA Classic will be wide open for anybody to win.

What To Know About The Course
Formerly known as the Bay Course at the Dolce Seaview Resort, the name changed to the Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club in 2010. The course isn’t very long so Driving Accuracy will be much more important than Driving Distance this week. Greens In Regulation is another statistic to closely consider when evaluating this week’s field. This tournament has the potential to be an absolute birdie-fest, as we saw when Nordqvist won it with a 17-under-par score here a year ago.
Taking a look at the Race to the CME Globe, So Yeon Ryu continues to lead with 1,695 points. She is closely tailed by Ariya Jutanugarn, who has 1,486 points in second place. Third place goes to American Lexi Thompson with 1,486 points. Cristie Kerr is in fourth place with 1,222 points and In Gee Chun rounds out the top five with 1,215 points. Lydia Ko is still No. 1 in the Rolex Rankings but she’s 19th in the Race for the CME Globe. She has not played particularly well of late as she hasn’t placed in the Top 20 in any of her last five tournaments. Since finishing fourth and eighth in back-to-back tournaments to start the year, she hasn’t placed better than 12th.
The Field
The fact that Nordqvist will not be the sports betting favorite to win this tournament for the third year in a row is a testament to the talent at the top of this week’s field. Inbee Park is the sports betting favorite at +600 odds. Meanwhile, Sung Hyun Park, Christie Kerr, Stacy Lewis and So Yeon Ryu are all listed ahead of Nordqvist in terms of the betting odds to win this event outright. Nordqvist is available at +1600 odds to win the ShopRite LPGA Classic for the third year in a row.
A Good Matchup To Bet: Stacy Lewis over Gerina Piller
Another name that might not be getting enough credit enterting this week is Lewis. The veteran golfer has struggled in terms of clinching victories but she has been playing solid golf of late and she knows this course well. In fact, Lewis won this tournament back in 2014. Piller has been fairly consistent this year but she is the smart pick to fade in the sports betting matchup with Lewis this week.
Top-Five Pick: Anna Nordqvist
While she hasn’t been the most consistent golfer on the LPGA Tour this season, the bottom line is that she has the experience and talent to win this tournament outright. Nordqvist won here in 2015 and then bested that score she won with by delivering an even better performance here last year. While she might not win outright, Nordqvist should be a strong bet to finish in the top-five at a very decent price in terms of the sports betting odds for this year’s ShopRite LPGA Classic.
