The best on the Champions Tour will make their way to Owings Mill, Maryland and the Caves Valley Golf Club for the Constellation Senior Players Championship this week. The fourth of the five annual major tournaments on the 50-and-older circuit of PGA Tour Champions will feature 78 players including seven World Golf Hall of Famers. Scott McCarron is the reigning champion at this tournament and will be on hand to defend his title against another impressive cast of contenders. Not surprisingly, McCarron won’t be among the top sports betting favorites in a field which features Bernhard Langer, Jerry Kelly and Miguel Angel Jimenez. We broke down that cast of contenders to identify the best bets based on the favorites, the group right behind the favorites and some potential sleeper picks. Here is a look at the best bets to win the Constellation Senior Players Championship with odds are courtesy of BetDSI.

Favorites
Bernhard Langer +600
Langer absolutely dominated this tournament over a three-year span in which he won the Constellation Senior Players Championship in 2014, 2015 and 2016. As if that wasn’t enough, Langer very narrowly missed on the chance to make it four wins in a row here when he was the runner-up to McCarron in 2017. Langer should be an absolute lock to finish in the top-five again this week as a very obvious favorite to win the event outright once again in 2018.
Jerry Kelly +600
While Langer has dominated at this event, Kelly has absolutely dominated overall of late with five straight top-eight finishes including runner-up finishes in each of his last two starts. Kelly now has nine top-10 results in his last 13 starts and there is no reason to expect that run to continue this week. Kelly joins Langer as a sports betting favorite to win outright for a reason. Nobody will be surprised if he comes out on top.
Miguel Angel Jimenez +800
While Langer and Kelly have both been excellent, Jimenez has been the best of the favorite at major tournaments this season. Jimenez has finished in the top-five at each of the first three majors including a win at the Regions Tradition, a fifth-place finish at the Senior PGA and another runner-up finish at the U.S. Senior Open. At +800 odds, Jimenez should be an excellent pick to win the Senior Players Championship.
Next In Line
David Toms +1400
Toms finally registered his first Champions Tour win by taking the U.S. Senior Open Championship. Now he is going to try to extend his Charles Schwab Cup points lead with another strong performance this week. At +1400 odds, Toms should be a popular pick this week.
Kevin Sutherland +1400
Sutherland should also get plenty of attention at +1400 odds this week. He is coming off his best finish of the season after registering a top-10 result at the U.S. Senior Open, which is his fifth top-10 of the season. While he hasn’t taken that next step just yet, Sutherland could be on the verge of a breakthrough as a legitimate contender to win the Senior Players Championship.
Scott McCarron +1600
McCarron will look to defend his title at pretty excellent odds for a defending champion at a major tournament. Consistency has been a major issue for McCarron this season but that could play in to the favor of those that feel he has what it takes to repeat here. The inconsistencies have resulted in McCarron being listed at +1600 odds to win, which is excellent value for somebody that has already proven they can win here. McCarron should be a popular option as the defending champion in Owings Mill here at long odds.
Sleeper Picks
Joe Durant +3300
In terms of sleeper picks, it’s impossible to overlook Durant at +3300 odds. After all, he has never finished lower than sixth in his four starts at the Senior Players Championship. That run includes a runner-up finish in 2016 and a T-3rd the year before in 2015. Durant is an excellent vale sleeper option to contend for the win in Maryland this week.
Brandt Jobe +4000
Jobe is another excellent value to keep an eye on at +4000 odds after posting a runner-up finish at this tournament a year ago. Jobe warmed up for this event with a T-5th at the Broadmoor in his most recent start so he is in excellent form heading in to this event. Jobe has somewhat flown under the radar heading in to the Senior Players Championship but should be an intriguing sleeper option at long odds.
