Spoiler alert, in case you didn’t see the title of the article. This article WILL tell you who won the 2018 season of Dancing With the Stars Athletes, so if you don’t want to know — stop reading now.
As a reminder, the final three contestants were former figure skater Tonya Harding (with her partner Sasha Farber), football player Josh Norman (with pro partner Sharna Burgess) and Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon (with pro partner Jenna Johnson).
When we last left the dancing competition, I took Adam to win the finale — check out my last article.
After last week’s dances, the home votes were combined with the judges’ scores for the final score of the night.
So who won?
Well before we get there, there were some dances before the final winner’s announcement. Tonya and Sasha danced a beautiful Viennese Waltz!

So, again, who won?
Adam Rippon and his pro dancer Jenna took home the mirrored crystal ball trophy!
So now that this season is over, here are my thoughts:
I don’t understand why it was a shortened season and I couldn’t find any explanation of it, but I actually enjoyed it. I have no idea if they are going back to a full Dancing With the Stars next season, but I like the other version of the season better. Why? Because you get to see dancers progress more as the season goes on and I think that Dancing With the Stars should be about who improves the most from start to finish. Take Jennie Finch, for example. Even judge Carrie Ann said she wishes the season had been longer so that she could’ve watched Jennie improve because she felt that out of all the athletes a longer season would’ve profited Jennie the most.
I also love Jenna as a dancer on this show. I watched her on So You Think You Can Dance and didn’t know she was on the show before. She’s such an incredible dancer and putting her with someone like Adam Rippon was a formula for success.
So until next season, keep dancing!
