The Savannah Championship is the first of two new tournaments on the Web.com Tour this season. Following this event, the tour will take a three-week break. Argentina’s Julian Etulain won last week’s Chitimacha Louisiana Open for his first win on the Web.com Tour. All six winners on the Web.com Tour so far this season have been first-time winners. Let’s take a closer look at this event. All of the betting lines are courtesy of BetDSI Sportsbook.

The Favorites
Sam Burns (+1000): Burns finished T-20 at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open in his first start on the Web.com Tour. However, it isn’t like he has been idle as Burns has played on the PGA Tour, notably in the final round of the Honda Classic with Tiger Woods. Better yet, Burns shot a 68 to 70 for Woods, which has to be encouraging for the 21-year-old, who also finished T-2 at the Club Colombia Championship in February.
Steve Marino (+2000): Marino finished T-8 in Louisiana for his third top-ten in four starts this season as he tries to make it back to the PGA Tour. Marino has had a few injuries in his career, which has not allowed him to play consistently to his full potential. But he definitely has the game to be a winner on the Web.com Tour and that could come this week.
Next In Line
Sungjae Im (+2500): Im leads The 25 money list this season and he will be turning 20 on Friday, so he would love to celebrate with a victory. Im won the Exuma event in the Bahamas this season, finished second in the next Bahamas event, then cooled off a little before coming in T-11 in Louisiana. Missing the cut in Mexico might have been good for Im, forcing him to take a breather for a couple weeks.
Carlos Ortiz (+2500): Ortiz has finished in the top 20 in four of six starts this season after a T-11 in Louisiana. He finished second to Im in the Exuma event and he has been consistently hanging around the good part of the leader board. Sooner or later, he is going to get a good chance to win a tournament.
Sleeper Picks
Joey Garber (+3500): Garber got off to a slow start this season with two missed cuts in the Bahamas, but he has finished in the top 25 in four starts since then. He has finished T-8 at two of the last three tournaments in Colombia and Louisiana, and Garber is heading back to Georgia, where he went to school in Athens. That could give him a bit of a boost up the leaderboard.
Josh Teater (+3500): Speaking of Georgia, Teater resides there and would love to put a good finish on the board. He has finished in the top 20 in three of his last four starts, missing the cut in Colombia, but Teater is coming off a solid T-11 in Louisiana. He’s a long shot but he might have some value in this spot.
