Last week I told you to add Brandon Belt, Miguel Andujar, C.J. Cron and Michael A. Taylor to your fantasy baseball rosters. If you listened, you likely won the week! Here’s a look at this week’s must-adds to your respective roster by way of trade or waiver wire.
OF Teoscar Hernandez (Toronto Blue Jays) – Seriously folks, what else does the 25-year old need to do to grab your attention?! He’s batting a cool .316 in the heart of the Blue Jays lineup, yet enters this week only 54.4 percent owned. It’s highly likely he’s still sitting on your waiver wire as you read this. The power/speed combo is making the Astros look foolish for giving up on him so early. Do the same to your league mates and get him on your fantasy roster STAT!
The #Statcast Barrel/PA % leaderboard is dominated by the AL East:
1. Teoscar Hernandez: 18.8%
2. Mookie Betts: 16.8%
3. J.D. Martinez: 15.0%
4. Gary Sanchez: 14.4%Teoscar's latest barrel gem: This 105.8 mph oppo HR — https://t.co/I6uXFzqaT2 (CC @JasonBernard_) #BlueJays

2B/3B/SS Daniel Robertson (Tampa Bay Rays) – More of a deep league dart throw than anything, you can do a lot worse than add Robertson to your team if in fact you need to fill any of the three positions he currently qualifies for. Since being brought up to the big club, the Rays have gone streaking and Robertson is one of the main reasons why. In 62 plate appearances, he’s raked 22 hits – nine of which went for extra bases – and sports a god-like 1.097 OPS. His stats are sure to regress, so my recommendation to you would be to snag lightning in the bottle while it lasts.

SS/2B Jose Peraza (Cincinnati Reds) – It was only a matter of time until the Reds bats awoke from their slumber. Over the last seven games, the Redlegs have plated an average of 7.3 runs per game. That’s exactly when Peraza started to heat up at the dish. Joey Votto finally doing something also contributed in a big way, but so has Peraza whose 15-for-34 during that stretch with 2 HR, 4 RBI and a stolen base. He may have already been dumped to the wire previously. If sitting there, snatch him. It’s a sin that he’s less than 30 percent owned!
Jose Peraza has been on a hot streak lately, so is this what #Reds fans can expect from him moving forward? @jluckhaupt looks at the type of hitter Peraza is and what will be key for him to keep hitting. https://t.co/nrBgeLDIZE

OF Leonys Martin (Detroit Tigers) – There’s so much to like about Martin through the first month of the season, yet he’s sitting on the waiver wire in over 71 percent of most leagues. Leonys has been one of the more sought after power and speed guys since entering the league back in 2013. It’s never come full circle until now with him entering May one of the Tigers’ lone bright spots. Though he’s only stolen one base to date, he has the capability of ripping off 25-30. On top of that, he’s striking out less and putting bat on ball more. If your fantasy league starts five outfielders, do your lineup a major solid and get him into the mix.

OF Franchy Cordero (San Diego Padres) – I get it, the Padres stink out loud. Have for a number of years. However, Will Myers is back on the DL which will offer up even more playing time for Cordero. Franchy strikes out a ton (25) and doesn’t walk much (3), but he’s a cheap source of power and speed that you could end up kicking yourself about not taking a chance on when the fantasy season comes to a close. He’s been batting cleanup against lefties and fifth versus righties. Those are stat accruing positions people! No reason for him to only be rostered in 13 percent of leagues!

OF Jorge Soler (Kansas City Royals) – Soler brought with him a ton of upside and excitement coming up in the Cubs’ farm system. Unfortunately, it didn’t translate in the limited playing time he received under Joe Maddon. Numerous injuries also played a significant role. But now that he’s got right field all to himself in Kansas City, he looks to be growing up right before our eyes. While striking out over 30 percent of the time, he’s taken 17 walks in 75 plate appearances. That was unheard of throughout his stay on the North Side. The kid just might be starting to blossom, so snag him now before all the fantasy sharks smell blood in the water. #SolerBomb
