The PGA Tour heads north to Dublin, Ohio and a course that Jack Nicklaus built for the Memorial tournament at the Muirfield Village Golf Club this week. This event will feature an absolutely loaded field with only the top-75 from last season’s PGA Tour’s money list guaranteed their place in the competition. Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas, Justin Rose, Jason Day and Rory McIlroy headline the list of big names that are set to compete in Ohio this week. We took the time to break down this week’s field in order to identify the best betting options on the board including some smart sleeper picks. Here is a look at the eight best bets to win the Memorial tournament this week. Odds are courtesy of BetDSI Sportsbook.

Dustin Johnson +1200
D.J. hasn’t been the most dominant golfer on the PGA Tour this season but he has had some success at this tournament in the past including two top-five finishes. Most recently, Johnson finished third in the Memorial last year, which is a big reason why he is locked in as the sports betting favorite to win this time around. While the value isn’t incredible, D.J. should contend for the outright win in Ohio this week.
Justin Thomas +1400
Thomas has been absolutely on fire over the past couple of months including a win at The Honda Classic, a runner-up finish at the World Golf Championships-Mexico Championship and an 11th place finish at THE PLAYERS Championship in his most recent start. The world No. 1 is still available at a decent price at +1400 odds to win the Memorial outright. There should be a substantial amount of action on Thomas this week.
Justin Rose +1400
Rose might very well be the best option on the board among the sports betting favorites to win the Memorial this week at +1400 odds. Rose is in excellent form heading in to this week and if he plays the way he did over the weekend when he won at Colonial then he should contend for the outright win again this week. Winning two events in a row will not be easy but Rose has the talent, confidence and momentum to do exactly that and earn another victory at the Memorial this week.
Jordan Spieth +1600
Spieth has hit a bit of a snag of late with three straight finishes outside of the top-20. However, it’s only a matter of time before he gets back on track and this could very well be the week that it happens. After all, it wasn’t that long ago that Spieth recorded back-to-back third-place finishes at the Houston Open and the Masters. Spieth’s recent struggles have him listed at +1600 odds so he could be a strong option this week.
Tiger Woods +1800
The 14-time major winner hasn’t been able to get back in the win column since making his return. However, Tiger has looked good at times and it appears as though his confidence is headed in the right direction. The fact that Tiger has won this event five times should help that confidence heading in to this week. With all of the tools to excel at Muirfield and an excellent course history, this could be the week when it makes sense to bet on Tiger to win at a decent price.
Bubba Watson +3300
Watson is a two-time winner this season so the fact that he is listed at just +3300 odds is somewhat surprising. The fact that Watson has excelled in the past at this tournament makes him that much more intriguing of an option as he tied for sixth at the Memorial in 2017 and registered a solo third-place finish in 2014. Watson is eighth for Greens In Regulation this season and if he can continue to perform at a high level he should contend for the outright win at Muirfield. At +3300 odds to win outright, Watson might be the best bet on the board to win the Memorial this week.
Emiliano Grillo +5000
Grillo registered a T-11th at Memorial in his debut here in 2016 so it will be interesting to see what he can do this week with a chance to build on that performance. Grillo is coming off a top-three finish at Colonial and yet he is still listed at +5000 odds to win this week, which is outstanding. The World No. 52 is worth consideration as a betting option to win the Memorial this week.
Charley Hoffman +12500
Speaking of excellent value, Hoffman’s price tag alone makes him worth consideration this week. At +12500 odds, Hoffman is a very deep sleeper pick that has the potential to contend. The fact that he has made the cut in eight of his nine starts here should inspire some confidence and he should be motivated to contend as he looks to convince his peers that he deserves a spot on this year’s Ryder Cup team. Hoffman has the talent to surprise in Ohio this week. He is a smart sleeper pick to contend for the outright win this week.
