Video Blog: Weekend Combat Sports Picks

The enigmatic Conor McGregor takes on Denis Siver this Sunday at UFC Fight Night 59.

We have come upon the first big weekend for combat sports in 2015.  On the MMA side, a full plate brings you Bellator 132 on Friday, World Series of Fighting 17 on Saturday and the highly anticipated UFC Fight Night 59 from Boston is Sunday.

In boxing, the MGM Grand in Vegas has heavyweight action that is causing a buzz in the USA, something the heavyweight ranks have not done in a long time. Undefeated Deontay Wilder hopes to become the first American in eight years to carry a piece of the World heavyweight title as he attempts to take the WBC version from the rugged Bermane Stiverne.  Right now, Wilder is coming in as a favorite at the sport books, but there are many out there who like Stiverne as an underdog.

At the close of 2014, our ongoing series of blogs on combat betting closed with over $2,800 in the bank, and our expert analyst Miguel Iturrate has taken out five bets encompassing Bellator, UFC and boxing.  There are some good tight lines out there this weekend, but our man picked four underdogs and only put up the juice once.  Take a look and see where the money is going.
