Video Blog: Boxing Odds For London’s O2 Arena Fights This Saturday

London’s O2 Arena hosts a boxing card promoted by Eddie Hearn and his Matchroom Boxing promotion this Saturday night in London.  The main event features Lightweights Kevin Mitchell and Daniel Estrada in a 12-round bout for a vacant WBC Silver title.

The bulk of the card is filled with a series of regional title fights, and offshore books are carrying lines on Tommy Martin vs Ricky Boylan as they meet for the English super lightweight title, and John Wayne Hibbert faces Tyler Goodjohn with the WBC’s International Super Lightweight title on the line. These matches have competitive lines worth looking at.  As our veteran blogger points out, lines this close are rarely seen on British events, as the British promoters have a tendency to matchmake soft for the fighters they are promoting.  These fights do not fit that bill, and it is a refreshing change.

A fourth title fight for the WBO Inter-Continental Middleweight title between John Ryder and Billi Facundo Godoy is also booked for the event, and some of the books out there are carrying a line for that fight as well.

Below, our boxing expert Miguel Iturrate reviews the lines for the three fights that have lines up:
