This Saturday night, big-time boxing gets back on the schedule as Gennady Golovkin faces Martin Murray in Monaco and Arthur Abraham meets Paul Smith for a second time in Germany.
In Monaco, Golovkin is supported by a heavyweight clash featuring Tyson Fury‘s brother Hughie facing his toughest test to date in Ukrainian Andriy Rudenko. Not to be outdone, the German card also features a British Heavyweight in a feature slot as former Olympic bronze medalist David Price faces Brazil’s Irineu Costa.
If Smith comes in at a higher level and even more motivated than he did last time, he may have a chance as an underdog, as Abraham is going to employ basically the same style he did in the first fight in this one where he did not look so hot. Murray is unlikely to pull off a victory against Golovkin, but the over is currently a nice payout if Murray can survive the onslaught he is expected to face from Golovkin. Golovkin has 17 stoppage wins in a row, ending everyone of his fighs since June of 2008 before the scheduled end. If he comes in a little flat and Murray hangs tough, the over could be in play.
