MLB Lines – Los Angeles Angels vs. Cleveland Indians ESPN2 Wednesday Night!

MLB Lines:  After a stunning surprise 2013 season in which they were an American League wild card team as well as one of the most profitable teams on the betting board the Cleveland Indians and their backers have been suffering through the baseball betting equivalent of a market correction that has put them in the basement of the American League Central Division and drenched in red ink.  The Los Angeles Angels have shown improvement so far in 2014 after having the dubious distinction of being one of the biggest money losers on the board the past two seasons.  The Cleveland Indians will host the Los Angeles Angels at Progressive Field on Wednesday night with coverage on ESPN2 starting at 7:05 PM ET.

Pitching Deserts Tribe

The big problem for Cleveland thus far has been a pitching staff that ranked 25th in Major League Baseball for earned run average, 26th for WHIP, and 24th for quality starts.  The Indians also made the most fielding errors in the game.  Cleveland did rank 6th for run production and was 21-11 at home with just 14 out of their 32 home games going under the total.

In the Mix

The Angels were in second place and within striking distance of the Oakland A’s in the American League West Division.  LA ranked 4th in MLB for run production and saw their pitching staff show marked improvement to rank 17th for earned run average after ranking near the bottom for the past two seasons.

The Pick

The Angels have won 6 out of their last 11 games at Cleveland with 15 out of the last 20 games at Cleveland between the Angels and Indians going under the total.  Angels and under!
