Here is the second part of a planned ongoing discussion on the greatest boxer of all time. On this edition, we’re joined once again by special guests Mike Davis and Keith Palmer.
After getting a list of nearly 25 men that includes the massive names the likes of Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson and Joe Louis as well as a few more specialized choices such as Kid Chocolate, Jimmy Wilde, Bob Fitzsimmons and Harry Greb. Modern candidates include Latin greats Carlos Monzon and Julio Cesar Chavez, as well as “Marvelous” Marvin Hagler and Evander Holyfield.
After agreeing that the task of eliminating names rom the list was monumental and almost too much to do, one of the guests steps up and eliminates one of boxing’s all-time legends from the discussion. Sure to catch a lot of heat from old-timers and boxing experts will vilify the decision. By the end of the hour plus long podcast, things are getting to the nuts and bolts as the majority of the men left on the list could reasonably be considered better than any of the rest depending on how the light shines.
