CFB Lines – Nebraska Cornhuskers 2014 Schedule

CFB Lines:  The Nebraska Cornhuskers are coming off a season of tumult and chaos that ended on a good note, but not before head coach Bo Pelini was calling out the school administration to fire him.  It was yet another nine-win season for the Huskers, which has become the standard for their program that used to be a perennial national championship contender.  This new era of parity and every team playing on TV for every game has changed the reality for the Huskers, who play in a state with a small recruiting base.  Nebraska will play in the realigned Big Ten West Division which looks highly winnable with Iowa and Wisconsin looking to be the toughest opponents.  Nebraska will open the season at home on August 30 against Florida Atlantic.

September

Nebraska will host McNeese State on September 6, visits Fresno State on September 13, and will then host Miami on September 20 and Illinois on September 27 in the Big Ten Conference opener.  Looking ahead, that game at Fresno State could be a trap.

October

Nebraska is at defending Big Ten champion Michigan State on October 4, at Northwestern on October 18, and will host Rutgers on October 25.  Michigan State has been built into the toughest and most physical team in the Big Ten and has proven to be able to sustain their recent success.

November

Nebraska will host Purdue on November 1, is at Wisconsin on November 15, will host Minnesota on November 22, and is at Iowa on November 28.  November will likely feature the two biggest and most important games of the season as Wisconsin is a perennial Big Ten title contender and Iowa is coming off a rebound season that ended for them with a win at Nebraska.
