The World Wrestling Entertainment Network will be featuring their “Elimination Chamber” pay-per-view this Sunday live from the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. Odds are up for six of the feature fights, check your sports book rules for details and specifics.
The feature match in the Chamber is for the Intercontinental title, and the books are favoring Sheamus to come through and win the title. The field includes Wade Barrett, Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth, Rusev and the massive Ryback. Sheamus has been turned into a “heel’ since he came back from the long layogff, and his history as a performer at the top of the roster see him favored over this field. Perhaps a situation that sees Rusev take home the win and sees Sheamus wind up paired with Barrett as a tag team materializes as well.

The “Elimination Chamber” is the WWE’s steel cage construct that has traditionally been used to pit six men against each other. For this event, the format is making its tag team debut as The New Day will defend its belt against a field that includes The Ascension, The Lucha Dragons, Los Matadores, Tyson Kidd and Cesaro and The Prime Time Players. The New Day pairing of Kofi Kingston and Bi E Langston has really picked up its profile since the turned heel.

Perhaps the most interesting match of the show is a simple singles bout between WWE poster boy John Cena and the NXT brand’s titleholder in Kevin Owens. Seeing Cena paired with a newcomer to the WWE’s big stage is rare, and so far Owens has lived up to his hype. Though Cena losing to a new face is unlikely, it is a fact that his character can easily bounce back from a loss here, while at the same time having the effect of bumping Owens’ prestige as he comes in the door.
