UFC 188 Undercard Odds

The UFC 188 card is set for this coming Saturday in Mexico City with a main event card featuring a UFC Heavyweight title unification bout between Cain Velasquez taking on Fabricio Werdum.  Velasquez is the long-time titleholder coming back from a layoff to face interim titlist Werdum as the feature card on the pay-per-view.  The main card features four other bouts, including the women’s fight at 115 lbs between Tecia Torres and Angela Hill.

The undercard fights are scheduled to air on FX and also on the UFC.TV website, and the feature fight is in the Flyweight division where former Olympic Gold Medalist Henry Cejudo (8-0) as he returns to the octagon to face veteran Chico Camus (14-5).

This will be Cejuso’s third fight since december as the UFC looks to fast-track the talented wrestler into the title picture.  The rest of the undercard features a good bit of talent from south of the border, as should be expected with this now being the UFC’s second show in Mexico City.

Veteran Alejandro Perez (15-5) is looking for his second win in the UFC as he faces Patrick Williams (7-4).  Efrain Escudero (23-9) takes on Drew Dober (15-6) and Gabriel Benitez (17-4) faces off against Clay Collard (14-5).  It will interesting to see how the Mexican fighters are developing as many here are stepping up into matches against battle tested opposition.   Unfortunately, the undercard does not feature any bouts in the women’s divisions but still features some fights worth watching.
