The UFC Fight Night 71 card comes to us this Wednesday from California with a main event featuring Heavyweight Frank Mir taking on Todd Duffee. The full fight card features 12 fights, with the undercard featuring several intriguing matchups.
Perhaps the most anticipated matchup of the undercard features the women bantamweights as Jessica Andrade (12-4) faces the challenge of Sarah Moras (4-1). Andrade is coming off a loss after a three-fight winning streak in the UFC and is looking to get back on track, while the Canadian Moras is looking to notch a second UFC win in a row after winning her debut last July.
UFC Fight Night 71 Main Card Odds: Frank Mir Meets Todd Duffee In Heavyweight Showdown
With two women’s matches on this card including Holly Holm vs Marion Renaeu on the main card, it is not out of the question that the winner of this match may get a date with Holm later this year.
Another fight attracting attention on the undercard features once beaten Sean Strickland (15-1) as he takes on veteran Igor Araujo (25-7). Despite the gaudy record, Strickland still has a lot to prove at 24 years old, and he is coming off a loss in the UFC. Araujo is also coming off a loss but he is considered to be the most tested opponent for Strickland to date.
Another fight that has “all-action” written all over it sees bantamweights Rany Yahra (20-8-1) facing Masanori Kanehara (25-11-5) in a battle of veteran fighters known for their ground work. Kanehara has been the more consistent of the two, winning seven of his last eight bouts while Yahra has struggled to find consistency.
