NFLPA Doubles Down on Brady; Porn Star Smacks Down Bills Safety

Tom might want to tell the NFLPA to relax.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has yet to announce his ruling on New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s appeal for his four-game DeflateGate suspension, but the NFL Players Association isn’t waiting to unleash its threats.

Wednesday the NFLPA made it clear that they would contest the DeflateGate suspension if any of it remains after Goodell’s ruling in court. something that Brady and the Patriots might not be too interested in doing.

Last week Goodell said he would have a ruling “soon,” but nobody knows what that means. Facing the possibility of a court case and all the facts that could be brought out into the light, New England owner Robert Kraft has already backed down and accepted his punishment.

Brady has already testified under oath once in the arbitration with Goodell and, unless his testimony was, “Yes, I told these two morons to deflate the footballs because I like squishy balls,” it was a lie, and in court that’s known as perjury and can result in prison time. It’s unlikely Goodell and the NFL would pursue that if Brady accepts the ruling. If they go to court, however, all bets could be off because it will then be out of Goodell’s hands. And if a judge hears that kind of crazy lie uttered in his courtroom, there’s really no telling what he’ll do.

So go for it, Tommy. Or tell the NFLPA to back off.

The Patriots, as an organization, have even backed down on their claim that “The Deflator” reference in the texts between the two Patriots lackeys was about weight loss by updating their Truther website, replacing it with this more lawyerly passage, “The following paragraph has been added to clarify the basic point being made … that one cannot reasonably rely on that one uncorroborated and unexamined text to conclude that there was improper ball deflation.”

Duke Williams called out by porn star on Twitter

Third-year Buffalo Bills safety Duke Williams is coming off his best season as a pro and first as a starter on one of the league’s best defenses. Because of all that, he figured it might give him some play with porn star Mia Khalifa. He was wrong.

In an attempt to woo Khalifa to a pool party in Las Vegas, Williams flew too close to the sun and got knocked down. Publicly. Via Khalifa’s twitter page.

Williams, publicly shamed by a human being who has sex with strangers for a living, went on the twitter defensive pretending that he was contacting a porn star in order to make a new platonic friend.

Khalifa, for her part, moved on and left Williams in the twitter dust. She apparently has a very sports-centric twitter presence, offering up observations on the Tour de France…

To the controversy of Caitlyn Jenner’s ESPY Award…

And, of course, Florida State football.

Not every NFL player is as hard up as Williams. New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker’s wife, country singer Jessie James Decker, posted an Instagram about how much she wanted to lick his face. And that might be why she was pregnant. Again.

So maybe turn off the Spice Channel and click over to CMT, Duke. You might have better luck.

Lynch, Watt and Gronk perform feats of strength

Marshawn Lynch hosted a barbecue in Oakland, Calif. last week but that doesn’t mean the Beast Mode was turned off. Playing a kickball game, just for fun, Lynch sent not one, but two balls into orbit. Here’s the proof.

The Gronk-Spike has become the signature touchdown scoring move for All-Universe tight end Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots. But can he do it just as effectively with a coconut? The answer might not surprise you.

And just in case you think J.J. Watt won’t be ready to run through your television set when HBO’s Hard Knocks premiers in August, he posted a photo of his workout. Here he is squatting 585 pounds. But, you know, it’s not a max out rep.
