While the Aztecs are 1-3 Straight Up (SU), they’ve fallen short Against The Spread (ATS) this season with a 0-4 record. An important aspect of the game will be if the Aztecs can capitalize on Fresno State’s tendency to give away the football. They currently rank 111th in the nation with 2.5 turnovers per game. San Diego State’s special teams squad is a force to be reckoned with. They average 152.2 return yards per game, sixth in Division I.
Over on the other sideline, the Bulldogs head into Week 5 with records of 1-3 for both ATS and SU. The San Diego State offensive line better prepare this week, because the Bulldogs get to opposing quarterbacks with ease. The Bulldogs defense is currently 16th in the country with an average of three sacks per game. Fresno State has put in some strong special teams performances this season. The team has averaged 135.8 return yards per game, ranking them 14th in the nation.
