LSU is looking to remain unbeaten following a 31-0 victory over Southeastern Louisiana last week. The passing attack could’ve been better as Joe Burrow completed just 10-of-20 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns. Nick Brossette (137 rushing yards on 19 attempts) led the running attack. Ja’Marr Chase (three receptions, 25 yards, one TD) and Foster Moreau (two catches, 47 yards) shared the receiving duties in the win.
Auburn just picked up a lopsided 63-9 win over Alabama State. The defense did its job in the victory, holding the Hornets to only 158 passing yards and 47 rushing yards. Dieuly Aristilde Jr. had a good showing in the defeat, recording 51 yards on one catch for Alabama State. For Auburn, Jarrett Stidham completed six-of-11 passes for 113 yards and one touchdown. JaTarvious Whitlow (122 yards on 14 rush attempts) and Shaun Shivers (117 yards on 13 carries, one TD) mounted the running game while Ryan Davis (three receptions, 34 yards) and Anthony Schwartz (three catches, 67 yards, one TD) led the receiving corps in the win.

The Auburn D has allowed 227 yards per game to opposing passers and 74.5 yards per game to opposing runners. Both teams allow similar adjusted net yards per pass attempt (ANY/A) to opponents, as the Tigers has given up an ANY/A of 3.24 to opposing QBs, while Auburn is yielding an ANY/A of 3.57.
Offensively, Burrow is up to 151 passing yards on the year, and has completed 50 percent of his 20 attempts with two passing scores and has yet to throw an interception. Burrow’s got an 8.23 adjusted net yards per pass attempt overall, although that number is 6.65 over the past two outings.

We expect the Tigers to control tempo by feeding their ball-carriers early and often. Backfield mates Kam Martin (40 rush yards, one rush TD, 15 receiving yards), JaTarvious Whitlow (122 rush yards), and Shaun Shivers (117 rush yards, one rush TD) have been significant focal points in the Auburn offense.
