Connecticut Huskies vs Central Florida Knights Odds

The AAC’s second-leading passer, Bryant Shirreffs (1,015 yards, 5 TDs), will be on display when the Connecticut Huskies play the Central Florida Knights. Losers of three in a row, this rough season hasn’t gotten any better for Connecticut (2-3). The game starts at 3:45 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct 10 and will air on ESPU.

UCF fell to Tulane 45-31 last week. D’erren Wilson had an outstanding performance in the loss, totaling seven receptions for 114 yards and three TDs. Tyler Harris added 156 yards and three TDs through the air. Connecticut also fell short, getting beat by BYU 30-13. Arkeel Newsome had a solid game on the ground for the Huskies, rushing for 68 yards on 13 carries. He added 63 yards and a TD on four receptions.

UCF is favored by a slim three-point margin in its matchup against the Huskies.

Heading into Week 6 of the college football season, the Knights are winless with a 0-5 record Straight Up (SU) and Against The Spread (ATS). The Knights are known for their passing game. Their 38 passing attempts per game are the 22nd-most in the nation. Transitioning to the UCF defense, there are a few things to keep in mind when it is on the field. UCF’s defense will look to improve its stats against the run when the Huskies come to town. Connecticut’s 99 rushing yards per game makes them 121st in the nation.

On the other side, the Huskies have a record of 2-3 for both ATS and SU. Limiting the passing game shouldn’t be a difficult task for Connecticut. The Knights have America’s 110th-ranked yards per pass at 10.5. The Huskies might reap the benefits of UCF’s sloppy passing attack, which ranks 122nd in the country with 1.8 interceptions thrown per game.

Predictions: SU Winner – Connecticut, ATS Winner – Connecticut
