D.J. has never won a FedEx Cup, but he sits third in the standings heading in to the final event and has the skill set needed to finish the season by adding another trophy to his long list of accomplishments. Johnson has been somewhat erratic since winning the U.S. Open, but has played East Lake well and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he turned it on again this weekend. With two fifth-place finishes already highlighting his eight starts at East Lake, Johnson is primed to contend for the outright win in Atlanta.

Rory’s decision to sit out the Northern Trust Open really paid off for him as he has placed T-12th at the Dell Technologies Championship and fifth at the BMW Championship. McIlroy leads the playoffs in distance of all drives and par-four scoring, so it’s clear he has what it takes to succeed. A winner in his last appearance at East Lake back in 2016, McIlroy is a legitimate contender this week.
