Kansas State narrowly fell 37-34 to Baylor. Skylar Thompson completed 15-of-26 passes for 149 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Alex Barnes (250 rushing yards on 22 attempts, three TDs) and the signal-caller Thompson (50 yards on nine carries, one TD) mounted the running attack as Isaiah Zuber (seven receptions, 56 yards) and Dalton Schoen (two catches, 30 yards) led the pass-catching attack in the loss.

Oklahoma State has run the ball on 55.7 percent of its offensive possessions this year while Kansas State has a rush percentage of 61.5 percent. The Cowboys have produced 214 rush yards/game (including 170 per game against Big 12 opponents) and have 15 scores on the ground this year. The Wildcats are totaling 175 rushing yards per game (172 in conference) and have eight total rush TDs.

It appears that the Cowboys could hold an advantage in all aspects of the ground game. Justice Hill (454 rushing yards, six rush TDs this season), Tylan Wallace (524 receiving yards, three receiving TDs) and Landon Wolf (104 receiving yards, one TD) have each played key roles lately.

In the other huddle, Skylar Thompson has completed 54-of-92 passes for 654 yards, five TDs and three INTs. Thompson’s ANY/A stands at 5.42 for the season and 2.92 over his past two games.

Alex Barnes (527 rushing yards, four rush TDs on the year), Dalton Schoen (224 receiving yards, two receiving TDs) and Isaiah Zuber (412 receiving yards, three receiving TDs) have combined for 538 total yards and four touchdowns over the last two games.

When these two teams met last year, Kansas State earned the win 45-40.
