Who is overrated in the NFL? Who is underrated? Who is actually a reasonable contender and who is nothing more than a fake and a phony? It looks like the Los Angeles Rams are the team to beat in the NFC while the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots are the best in the AFC. Beyond that, it’s anyone’s guess. Given the unpredictable nature of the league, let’s gets some points in our favor and try to hit a teaser this week. Here is the best teaser pick for Week 7:
Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs
Line: Kansas City -6

The Chiefs are coming off a loss to the New England Patriots, their first of the season. That said, Kansas City still covered as a 3.5-point underdog in a 43-40 loss to improve to 6-0 against the spread this season. Now the Chiefs return home where they remain undefeated to face a Bengals side that has overachieved according to their stats. Their defense ranks 30th in the NFL overall and 28th in passing yards per game. They’re also 24th in rushing yards per attempt allowed. The Chiefs will get back on track here as the Bengals continue to tumble.
New Orleans Saints at Baltimore Ravens
Line: Baltimore -2.5
The Saints are coming off a historic win over the Washington Redskins in which Drew Brees became the NFL’s all-time passing yards leader. New Orleans had the luxury of a bye week before heading to Baltimore to face the Ravens this Sunday. Baltimore is coming off a 21-0 win over the Tennessee Titans but will have a much tougher time slowing down the Saints offense. On the other side of the ball, the Saints are allowing a league-best 3.1 yards per carry and if the Ravens can’t run and are forcing the game on Joe Flacco’s shoulder, this should be close. Teasing New Orleans will move them from +2.5 to +9.5. The Saints should be able to cover as nearly a double-digit underdog on the road.
Buffalo Bills at Indianapolis Colts
Line: Indianapolis -6.5
The Colts are just 1-4 on the season and yet we are looking at them as an excellent option on our teaser ticket for Week 7. Indianapolis has won five straight home games against the Bills. Buffalo hasn’t exactly impressed early on this season and now they might be without Josh Allen (elbow) for this contest. The Nathan Peterman experience is a disaster waiting to happen.
Teasing the line for this game moves Indianapolis from -6.5 to +0.5 at home. Expect the Colts to win this game straight up for their second win of the season.
Carolina Panthers at Philadelphia Eagles
Line: Philadelphia -4.5
The defending Super Bowl champion Eagles are coming off their first win in three weeks with a 34-13 blowout victory over the New York Giants. While they looked good in that win, Philadelphia will be in a lot tougher spot at home against the Panthers this week. Carolina is coming off a 23-17 loss to the Washington Redskins to fall to 3-2 so they will be playing with a sense of urgency on the road. Teasing the Panthers moves them from +4.5 to +11.5, which should be a decent enough cushion considering they have the talent to win this game straight up. They’ve lost by more than 11 just once in their last nine games (a 12-point loss to Atlanta). Take Carolina as the final team for this week’s optimal four-team, seven-point teaser.
