Missouri Tigers vs Georgia Bulldogs Odds and Pick

Two dominant defenses will dictate this as the Missouri Tigers (4-2) take on the Georgia Bulldogs (4-2). The SEC’s second-leading rusher, Nick Chubb (747 yards, 7 TDs), will be featured in this game. Georgia and Missouri are both in need of a win this week. Both teams have gone through a rough patch recently and will be hoping that this game moves things back in the right direction. The game will air Saturday, Oct 17 at 7:30 p.m. ET on SECN.

In last week’s matchup, Georgia lost to Tennessee 38-31. Greyson Lambert had a huge game through the air in the loss, connecting on 15 of 32 pass attempts for 279 yards and two TDs. Malcolm Mitchell had a great game as well, adding 85 receiving yards and a TD on five catches. Missouri also came up short, losing to Florida 21-3. Russell Hansbrough had a solid performance running the ball for the Tigers, rushing nine times for 74 yards.

A close score is not projected this week when the Tigers, a big 17-point underdog, take on Georgia.

Even with a positive Straight Up (SU) record of 4-2, the Bulldogs have not been an excellent bet so far this year, going 2-4 Against The Spread (ATS). Georgia’s front seven will be excited to play the Tigers and their struggling run game. Missouri averages 117.2 yards per game on the ground, ranking 114th in the nation.

In the other locker room, the Tigers haven’t fared well ATS, sitting at 1-5. However, they are 4-2 SU this season. Missouri’s pass defense ranks 14th in the nation. This menacing unit gives up just 163.2 yards per game through the air. The Tigers rarely get penalized for fouls when they take the field. The team earns the 23rd-fewest penalty yards in the country with 42 per game.

Predictions: SU Winner – Georgia, ATS Winner – Missouri
