This week we have a fair share of MACtion, including what might be the best MAC game of the year, two Big Ten teams looking to make a statement and an SEC team hopeful to survive a home game against Tulsa.
Here are college football’s biggest spread movements for Week 8:
Buffalo at Toledo, Noon
Open: -3 Toledo
Current: -1 Buffalo
It’s not a midweek game, but the MACtion will be on full blast when the defending champs host this season’s MAC darlings at the Glass Bowl.
Toledo is still strong despite losing some key components from the Rockets 2017 championship run, thus the original -3 line. But this season looks to belong to the Bulls.
Buffalo has the best offense and defense in the MAC and a fun player to watch at quarterback with Tyree Jackson, who has thrown for 1,543 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Maryland at Iowa, Noon ESPN2
Open: -13.5 Iowa
Current: -9.5 Iowa
Here come the Hawkeyes at 5-1 and 2-1 in the Big Ten as they return home for the first time in October and are looking to get a nice win against Maryland.
Two blowout wins probably prompted the -13.5 line to start, but don’t sleep on Maryland.
Texas’s comeback this season really plays well for the Terps and they are looking for another statement win, and getting one in Iowa would be big. Maryland is better than the Temple and Michigan losses look, although the Michigan loss doesn’t look too terribly bad right now.
Tulsa at Arkansas, Noon SEC Network
Open: -3.5 Arkansas
Current: -7 Arkansas
While things have looked bleak for Arkansas this season, the Razorbacks got some good news this week with quarterback Ty Storey looking good to go.
The line opened with Arkansas at -3.5 against Tulsa (1-5), which is rough, but since Storey’s availability is looking good the line went up to -7.
Arkansas is looking hopeful for its second win of the season.
Miami (Oh) at Army, Noon CBS Sports Network
Open: -11.5 Army
Current: -8 Army
The days of Army football losing week after week are gone.
It wasn’t long ago that MAC teams saw Army on the schedule and looked forward for a good chance at a win, but now Army opened the week as double-digit favorites.
Miami of Ohio is no pushover however.
The RedHawks are coming off blowout wins against Kent State, Akron, a close loss to to Western Michigan and blowout of Bowling Green.
Fresno State at New Mexico, 2:30 p.m. ESPNU
Open: -16.5 Fresno
Current: -13 Fresno
Since a loss to Minnesota in early September, Fresno State has been rolling.
Now 5-1, the Bulldogs are coming off convincing wins against the likes Wyoming, Nevada, Toledo and UCLA.
But the Lobos are 3-3 and 1-1 in the Mountain West with Sheriron Jones coming into his own completing 59 percent of his passes with 12 touchdowns and only six interceptions.
New Mexico is a late field goal away from being 2-0 in the conference and at home will look to give the Bulldogs all they can handle.
