It feels like it’s a pretty good week for teasers. There are a number of favorites that we like hovering around the touchdown mark and one double-digit favorite that we can knock down to a field goal. Here is the best teaser pick for Week 8:
Miami Dolphins at Houston Texans
Line: Houston -7
It just feels like the Dolphins are running out of steam a little bit. Yes, they upset the Chicago Bears a couple of weeks ago but this team is a fading commodity. Brock Osweiler is starting and he’s going to get no love against his former team. And while he’s played well in two starts, both came at home. Winning on the road is a different story. The other issue is that the Dolphins have lost a couple of key weapons in Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson.

On the other side of the equation is a Texans team that’s won four straight. It hasn’t been pretty – and it won’t be again this week – but they’ll find a way to win. Tease them down to a PICK.
New York Jets at Chicago Bears
Line: Chicago -6.5
The Jets turned a number of heads with back-to-back wins over the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts. Then they came crashing back down to earth with a 37-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings last week. The Jets will try to bounce back in Chicago this week but they are all too reliant on their ground game. The Jets have 599 rushing yards in their three wins and just 254 rushing yards in their three losses. That’s a concern as the Bears have the NFL’s third-ranked rushing defense. They’ll force the game on rookie Sam Darnold’s arm and he won’t find anything coming easy on Sunday against a quality Bears defense. Tease the Bears.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Cincinnati Bengals
Line: Cincinnati -6
It wasn’t that long ago that the Buccaneers were the talk of the NFL following a surprising 2-0 start. However, Tampa Bay has lost three of four since and barely escaped a date with the Cleveland Browns by beating them 26-23 in overtime. Now the Buccaneers have to travel to Cincinnati to face a Bengals team that is coming off back-to-back losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs. The Bengals could very well be 5-2 right now but a late collapse against the Steelers put them in a tough spot and they simply couldn’t keep up with Kansas City on the road last week. Cincinnati is still 2-1 at home and should approach this week’s contest with a sense of desperation. With a seven-point tease applied, the Bengals move to +1 at home. Cincinnati should have no problem beating the Buccaneers straight up.
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs
Line: Kansas City -10
The Chiefs have been an absolute darling for sports betting fans this season with seven straight covers against the spread to open the year. Kansas City absolutely dominated the Bengals last week and should have no problem against a Broncos side they beat by four points on the road in their first meeting of the year back in Week 4. The Chiefs could put up points in bunches and just like with Cincinnati, Denver will have a very difficult time trying to keep up. Applying the seven-point tease moves Kansas City to -3 at home. The Chiefs should win and cover that number easily as the final selection on our teaser pick for Week 8.
