Carolina Hurricanes at St. Louis Blues Game Preview 11/6/18

Sebastian Aho, Teuvo Teravainen, and the Carolina Hurricanes will face off against Vladimir Tarasenko, Ryan O’Reilly, and the St. Louis Blues at the Enterprise Center in an East-West tilt. The match gets underway at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, November 6 and it can be viewed live on Fox Sports Midwest.

St. Louis (-115) is currently favored over Carolina (-105) and the oddsmakers have set the Over/Under (O/U) at 6 goals (-120 for the over, +100 for the under).

St. Louis is 4-8 straight up (SU) and has lost 5.8 units for moneyline bettors this year. Through 12 regular season matches, eight of its games have gone over the total, while three have gone under and just one has pushed. This year, the team is 3-5 SU at home.

The Blues currently have the second-strongest power-play unit in the NHL, as they’ve converted on 31.9 percent of their extra-man opportunities this season. On the other hand, its penalty kill is ranked 13th overall, and it’s successfully killed off 80.0 percent of all opponent power plays.

Jake Allen (27.2 saves per game) has been the primary netminder in the crease for the Blues. Allen has four wins, seven losses, and three OT losses and has recorded a subpar .879 save percentage and 3.99 goals against average this year.
