Our FCS plays over at GetMoreSports have been incredible this season, and if we didn’t have them fully documented on the site, you’d think we were a tout service. We had our second straight 2-0 week last week. In the first game, the under was never really in doubt as The Citadel played keep away with Western Carolina by running the ball 70 times with their triple-option offense in a 38-24 win. The second game was an absolute blowout that just managed to get over the total as Montana hammered Southern Utah 57-14 behind a great outing from Dalton Sneed. Now, our FCS football betting picks are 20-5-1 ATS on the year coming into Week 11, and we are out to finish the regular season on a high note.

Samford -12.5 at The Citadel
In the battle of the Bulldogs, Samford doesn’t have the best defense in the FCS by any margin. However, they know how to stop the run, and more specifically, how to stop the triple option.

Wofford and The Citadel are the standard bearers for the traditional triple option in the Southern Conference. Both schools have run the offense for years, and both have had a lot of success doing so. However, Samford has gotten the better of both schools over the last two years. In 2017, they held The Citadel to just 3.5 yards per carry in a 35-14 victory. Just last week, they limited Wofford to 3.8 yards per carry and they will have a huge advantage in playing two option teams in back-to-back weeks.
Then, there’s Devlin Hodges. Hodges has been fantastic this year. He is now second all-time in career passing yards at the FCS level, trailing only Steve McNair, and he ripped The Citadel last year. That secondary is even worse this year, allowing nine yards per pass, so he should have no trouble moving the ball against them.
UC Davis -3 at Eastern Washington
Coming into this game, Eastern Washington has the top offense in the country. Although Gage Gubrud has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a toe injury, Eric Barriere has filled in admirably and the offense really hasn’t missed a beat. They are likely to return back to the FCS playoffs after missing out last season, and the defense appears to be much better than it has been in the past. The Eagles are allowing just 4.9 yards per play on the year.
It matters who you play though. Eastern Washington has not faced very many good offenses this season, as they have dodged most of the top offenses in the Big Sky. The Eagles haven’t faced Montana, Idaho State, Sacramento State, or Portland State, and Northern Arizona’s star quarterback Case Cookus left early with an injury when they met.
UC Davis will be their first real test at the FCS level, and the Aggies have been lights out on offense. Dan Hawkins has it rolling in his second year on the job, and they are eighth in the nation in total offense with 485 yards per game. They should light up this untested Eagles defense.
