Wyoming just put together a blowout 24-9 win over San Jose State two weeks ago. The defensive unit did its duty in the victory, limiting the Spartans to just 173 passing yards and 71 rushing yards. Tyler Nevens was a bright spot in the defeat for San Jose State, accounting for 70 rushing yards on 17 attempts. For Wyoming, Sean Chambers completed four-of-eight passes for 51 yards and one touchdown. Nico Evans (187 rushing yards on 33 attempts, one TD) and the signal-caller Chambers (129 yards on 17 carries, one TD) led the running game while Austin Fort (two receptions, 28 yards, one TD) and Austin Conway (one catch, 10 yards) led the pass-catching attack in the win.
Air Force’s run the ball on 80.2 percent of its offensive possessions this year while Wyoming has an overall rush percentage of 64.2 percent. The Falcons have run for 265 yards/game (including 288 per game versus Mountain West opponents) and have 28 touchdowns on the ground this year. The Cowboys are logging 192 rushing yards per game (215 in conference) and have 12 total rush TDs.
