Youngstown State Penguins at Robert Morris Colonials ATS Prediction

The Penguins will be looking for similar success after thoroughly outplaying the Westminster (PA) Titans in their last matchup, 104-66. The Penguins had a much better turnover percentage (10.4 vs. 24.6) and had a much better effective field goal percentage (0.584 vs. 0.438). Darius Quisneberry played well for Youngstown State, finishing with 13 points and five assists.

In the Colonials’ last game, they lost big to the No. 24 Purdue Boilermakers, 84-46. Converting at the free throw line was one of Purdue’s biggest strengths. They were 20-23 (87.0 percent), while the Colonials were just 8-10 (80.0 percent). With 10 points on 4-for-8 shooting, Malik Petteway was Robert Morris’ high scorer.

The Colonials won the only contest against the Penguins last season, 81-74. Robert Morris had a much better free throw rate (0.449 vs. 0.197). Youngstown State, meanwhile, had a much better turnover percentage (15.8 vs. 23.0).

It could be a mistake-prone game for the Robert Morris offense. Since last season, Robert Morris ranks 322nd in the nation in ball protection (turnover percentage of 21.1 percent), while the disruptive defense of Youngstown State has forced the 77th-most turnovers in the NCAA (20.6 percent). Furthermore, the Penguins, who rank ninth in offensive rebounding percentage (35.9 percent), will try to exploit the Colonials, who rank 303rd in defensive rebounding percentage (68.6 percent).
