The Kentucky Wildcats (4-4) are seeking to break a three-game losing streak as they take on the Georgia Bulldogs (5-3). The SEC’s third-leading receiver, Malcolm Mitchell (565 yards, 4 TDs), will be featured in this game. The Bulldogs will want to seize this game as an opportunity to get back on track. While their season has had some high points, they have struggled as of late, losing three of their last five. The game starts at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov 7 and will be available on SECN.
In last week’s matchup, Georgia got blown out by Florida 27-3. Malcolm Mitchell had a quality performance in the loss, grabbing four receptions for 60 yards. Kentucky also struggled, struggling mightily against Tennessee 52-21. Garrett Johnson had a good performance for the Wildcats, pulling in two receptions for 50 yards and one TD. Mikel Horton also had a great game with 109 rushing yards on 14 carries.
A close score is not projected this week when the Wildcats, a big 17-point underdog, take on Georgia.
Even with a positive Straight Up (SU) record of 5-3, the Bulldogs have not been an excellent bet so far this year, going 2-6 Against The Spread (ATS). The Bulldogs are 2-3 SU in their last five games, but a less-than-stellar 0-5 ATS. The Bulldogs run for 5.6 yards per carry, 12th in the nation. Crossing over to the defensive side of the ball, the Bulldogs look to have a distinct advantage in certain spots. The Wildcats are not likely to run the ball very often at Georgia. They are one of the least-effective running teams in the nation, averaging 142.6 rushing yards per game. In the third quarter, Georgia is a tough test, putting up 10.1 points during the third frame. Special teams is a weakness for Kentucky that the Bulldogs may use to their advantage. On average, the Wildcats have allowed 118.6 return yards per game.
In the other locker room, the Wildcats head into Week 10 with records of 2-6 ATS and 4-4 SU. Over their last five games, the Wildcats have a SU record of 2-3 and a 1-4 record ATS for those betting with them.
