Wagner Seahawks at Sacred Heart Pioneers Betting Prediction

The Seahawks are trying to rebound after their 70-56 loss to the Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers in their last outing. One of Mount St. Mary’s’ biggest strengths was getting to the charity stripe. They made 25 trips to the line, while Wagner went just 13 times. Romone Saunders was Wagner’s high scorer with 16 points on 4-for-13 shooting.

In the Pioneers’ last outing, they were beaten by the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers, 92-85. St. Francis Brooklyn’s effective field goal percentage was their biggest advantage over Sacred Heart. The Terriers had a rate of 0.563 (above their season average of 0.478), while the Pioneers posted a mark of 0.484. Sacred Heart’s E.J. Anosike contributed 19 points and 11 rebounds in the game.

This is the second game of the season between these two squads. In the first, Saunders scored a game-high 24 points and the Seahawks beat the Pioneers 76-73. He also put up five rebounds. Wagner did an excellent job of making free throws (19-23; 82.6 percent). Sacred Heart, meanwhile, had a much better turnover percentage (13.7 vs. 21.8).

It will be a battle of opposite tempos as the fast-breaking Pioneers will look to push the more methodical Seahawks. The Pioneers rank 25th in possessions per game while the Seahawks are 275th.
