Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns vs South Alabama Jaguars Game Odds

Cody Clements and the South Alabama Jaguars take on Jalen Nixon and the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns in a game that will feature two of the best players in the SBC. The Jaguars and Ragin’ Cajuns currently hold a 4-4 record. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, Nov 12 and will air on ESPU.

In last week’s matchup, South Alabama beat Idaho 52-45. Xavier Johnson had an outstanding performance running the ball in the win, totaling 148 yards and one TD on nine carries. Louisiana-Lafayette managed to get the win as well, edging Georgia State 23-21. Al Riles had a huge game for the Ragin’ Cajuns, grabbing eight receptions for 103 yards and one TD. Brooks Haack put up 162 yards and a TD through the air.

Louisiana-Lafayette is a slim one-point favorite in this game and the Over/Under (O/U) is set at 62 points.

Sitting at 4-4 Straight Up (SU) and 2-6 Against The Spread (ATS), the Jaguars will look to improve heading into Week 11. In their five most recent matchups, the Jaguars went 2-3 SU and 1-4 ATS. The Jaguars may capitalize on a fragile Ragin’ Cajuns pass defense that allows 15.2 yards per pass. During their last five games, the Jaguars gave up 188.6 passing yards per game. There will be plenty of opportunities for the Jaguars to pick off Louisiana-Lafayette’s quarterback. The Ragin’ Cajuns currently throw the 102nd-most picks per game in the nation with 1.1.

In the other locker room, the Ragin’ Cajuns have a record of 4-4 for both ATS and SU. In the previous five games, Louisiana-Lafayette has a record of 3-2 SU and 2-3 ATS. If earlier games are any indication, the Ragin’ Cajuns will run the ball aggressively. They average 210.6 rushing yards per game, good enough for 25th in Division I. Over the last five games, the Ragin’ Cajuns turned it up on defense, only allowing an average of 234.8 passing yards per game.
