It will be a battle between SoCon opponents when the VMI Keydets (7-15, 1-9 SoCon) welcome the Chattanooga Mocs (10-14, 5-6 SoCon) to Cameron Hall. The game will air on ESPN 3 at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, February 7, 2019.

Chattanooga Mocs at VMI Keydets Free Prediction

In the Mocs’ last contest, they were beaten by the East Tennessee State Buccaneers, 77-64. Making free throws was one of East Tennessee State’s largest advantages. They were 12-13 (92.3 percent), while the Mocs were just 7-9 (77.8 percent). Kevin Easley led Chattanooga in scoring with 12 points on 5-for-13 shooting.

The Keydets were blown out by the UNCG Spartans in their last outing, 93-66. UNCG’s 41.4 offensive rebounding percentage was their biggest strength over VMI, who had a rate of 23.8. It will be a matchup of conflicting tempos as the fast-paced Keydets (ranked 44th in the nation in possessions per game) will look to push the slower-paced Mocs (160th in possessions per game).

This is the second game of the season between these two teams. In the first, Easley scored a game-high 26 points and the Mocs beat the Keydets 83-65. He also put up eight rebounds. The Mocs had a much better turnover percentage (10.2 vs. 15.2) and had a much better effective field goal percentage (0.555 vs. 0.443).
