Mahomes Cheers on Texas Tech, Haskins’ Draft status and More

Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

There are only a few more weeks until the NFL Draft, but let’s turn our attention away from that for a little bit. We’ve heard nothing but NFL Draft stories over the last two months, so let’s focus on some other aspects of America’s Game.

Patrick Mahomes II was in the crowd to see Texas Tech beat Michigan State on Saturday night. The Red Raiders made their first trip to the Final Four and they will be making their first-ever National Championship appearance on Monday night.

Wrestlemania is tonight, and with rumors of Rob Gronkowski showing up at tonight’s event, NFL.com has highlighted some of the most memorable Wrestlemanias involving NFL players.

In the world of college football, Nick Saban has expressed his opinion on players leaving early for the NFL Draft. Saban is obviously biased as he wants to keep his five-star recruits for as long as possible, but there are some instances where players would be better off staying for one more year.

The AAF didn’t survive one full season, but some players turned enough heads to turn a shot on NFL rosters. This article focuses on eight players that should have earned at least a cup of coffee in America’s biggest football league.

Alright, it’s hard not to talk about at least one draft story. Dwayne Haskins is one of the most interesting prospects in the 2019 NFL Draft, and it seems as if teams either love him or hate him. There are some mocks that have him as a top five pick, and others that see him falling into the second half of the first round.
