Aaron Rodgers on Game of Thrones, Geno Smith to Seahawks and More

If you blinked, you might have missed him. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made a cameo appearance on Sunday night’s Game of Thrones, the penultimate episode of the series. Rodgers played an archer that was burned alive by Drogon, the last remaining dragon ridden by Daenarys Targeryan during the attack on King’s Landing. And if none of that makes sense to you, ask your much cooler friends.

Geno Smith to sign with Seahawks

The NFL isn’t done with Geno Smith just yet. The former New York Jets quarterback will reportedly sign with the the Seattle Seahawks to do battle with former first round pick Paxton Lynch as Russell Wilson’s back up. Smith was Philip Rivers’ back up with the Los Angeles Chargers last year.

Gunther Cunningham passes away at 72

Former Kansas City Chiefs head coach Gunther Cunningham died Saturday. Cunningham coached in the NFL for more than 30 years. He had two stints as the defensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1995-1998 and again from 2004-2008. He was head coach in Kansas City from 1999-2000 and finished with a record of 16-16.
