Social media is popular, in part, because it allows the public access to the stars and vice-versa. Sometimes those are just friendly interactions, and other times it allows the stars the space to explain themselves. Pete Alonso used his Twitter account for the latter Friday after he had shooed away the grounds crew Thursday night so the Mets could finish a game they then blew in the rain. When a fan said he was mad at Alonso for not letting the game get delayed, he responded. Elsewhere, Jake Bauers gave Major League Baseball its second cycle in as many nights, the White Sox beat up on the Yankees again and the Rockies and Padres played deep into the night.
