Anthony Davis will move from New Orleans Pelicans to the Los Angeles Lakers in the latest blockbuster trade while the Pels will receive three players plus four first-round picks and the chance to rebuild.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, New Orleans Pelicans agreed to send Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and four first-rebound picks including the No. 4 pick.
The Pels also have the top pick in the upcoming NBA Draft and will almost surely take Zion Williamson, so their roster could be one of the most talented in the league. Boston Celtics also were in discussion to bring Davis but they didn’t want to send Jayson Tatum in return while the Lakers accepted New Orleans’ terms and got their superstar.
For now, expectation is Anthony Davis trade will be completed on July 6, league sources tell @BobbyMarks42 and me. Assuming Davis declines to void $4M trade bonus, this leaves Lakers with $23.7M in space. There is chance that could be amended to July 30, but it’s still 6th now.

LaVar Ball: Lonzo trade will be Lakers’ worst move | ESPN
Lonzo Ball’s father, LaVar, wasn’t happy with the Los Angeles Lakers decision to trade his son to the New Orleans Pelicans and he said that this will be their biggest mistake ever and that they will never win the NBA Championship again.
LaVar was against the move that sent his son to New Orleans but he acknowledged that Lonzo just wants to play and stay healthy and that he doesn’t care about the trade. Lonzo didn’t want to answer to the questions.

Although we have an answer to the question who will be the No.1 pick in the NBA Draft, we expect a lot of unexpected things to happen during free agency and to see what will happen with the Warriors.

AD deal solidifies Lakers’ favorite status in Vegas | ESPN
After the latest trade that saw Anthony Davis going to the Los Angeles Lakers from New Orleans Pelicans, the Lakers became top favorites to win the NBA Championship next season, according to the bookies in Las Vegas.
Now the odds on the Lakers to win the title are +350 while the Milwaukee Bucks and LA Clippers are each +600 at Caesars Sportsbook, followed by Toronto Raptors and Houston Rockets, who are each +800.

Vanderbilt’s Garland: I’m best guard in draft | ESPN
Darius Garland, who is declared for the upcoming NBA Draft, is one of the top point guards and will likely be one of the top ten picks but had a bold claim, saying that there is no better guard in the draft than him.
“I humbly say this, I think I’m the best (guard) in the draft,” he said. “I mean, I think I can do everything that an NBA team wants me to do. The game is going towards a pick-and-roll and a scoring point guard situation. So, I think I can do both of those really well. Just choose my spots on the floor and be able to show off the dribble.”
