Iowa Hawkeyes vs Nebraska Cornhuskers College Football Odds

Hoping to extend their flawless record, the No. 3 Iowa Hawkeyes (11-0) travel to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers (5-6). The game starts at 3:30 p.m. ET on Friday, Nov 27 and will be available on ABC.

In its last game before the bye, Nebraska defeated Rutgers 31-14. Cethan Carter had a quality performance in the victory, pulling in four receptions for 57 yards and one TD. Iowa was victorious in last week’s performance as well, smashing Purdue 40-20. Henry Krieger Coble had a good performance for the Hawkeyes, grabbing four receptions for 76 yards and one TD.

This week’s matchup between the Cornhuskers and Hawkeyes has even odds and the Over/Under (O/U) is unavailable currently.

Sitting at 5-6 Straight Up (SU) and 6-5 Against The Spread (ATS), the Cornhuskers will look to improve heading into Week 13. In their five most recent matchups, the Cornhuskers went 3-2 for both SU and ATS. Recently, Nebraska’s pass defense has seen gains. For the season, it has given up an average of 305.6 yards passing per game, but during the last five matchups, it gave up just 254.0. The Cornhuskers are one of the best in the country at scoring in the fourth quarter, averaging 11.9 points.

Over on the other sideline, the Hawkeyes head into Week 13 with records of 6-5 ATS and 11-0 SU. The defensive front seven better be ready for Iowa’s bruising rushing attack which has averaged 216.8 yards on the ground over its past five games. Shifting to the other side of the ball, it might be tough for the Cornhuskers to keep up with Iowa’s defense in a few areas. The Hawkeyes have the seventh-ranked run defense in the nation, giving up just 107.5 yards per game on the ground. The Hawkeyes can do some damage if they take the ball away from the Cornhuskers. The Cornhuskers rank 107th in the country in turnovers with two per game. Nebraska needs to keep its intensity through the fourth quarter against the Hawkeyes, who average 10.1 points in the final 15 minutes of regulation. Iowa has been good at avoiding penalties this season. The team only receives five per game on average, the 18th-fewest in the country.
