Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott will face no suspension after an altercation with a concert security guard back in May. Tuesday, Elliott released a public apology for the incident and the NFL announced Wednesday he would face no discipline.
Elliott was cuffed at the time by police, but not charged with any crime. According to the NFL’s press release, “Commissioner (Roger) Goodell determined there was no violation of the personal conduct policy and no further action is warranted.”

Peterson forced to pay $2.4 million loan
Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson is fast, but not so fast he can escape the debt collectors. Tuesday Peterson was ordered to pay $2.4 million to Democracy Capital Corp, the remaining balance on a $4 million loan he took out in April, 2016.

Jared Lorenzen passes away
Former New York Giants quarterback Jared Lorenzen has died. He’d been in the hospital since last week due to an infection, heart and kidney issues. His family released a statement on his passing. He was 38.
“The family of Jared Lorenzen would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation for all of your support and prayers over the past six days,” Lorenzen’s family said in a statement to Matt Joens of Kentucky Sports Radio. “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Jared today, July 3, 2019. Again, we appreciate all of the warm wishes and prayers, but as a family, we would request your respect and privacy. We will offer arrangement information in the coming days. Please keep Jared’s family and especially his children in your thoughts and prayers.”
