He’s 6-foot-6 and 260 pounds and according to San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, he could be the next Rob Gronkowski. Tight end George Kittle has just been in the league two years, but he can already claim to be one of the NFL’s best after an 88-catch, 1,377 yard and five touchdown 2018 season.

He did that without Garoppolo for the most part. With his quarterback healthy, Kittle could be in store to put up some pinball numbers to rival the recently retired Gronkowski.
“There are a lot of similarities (between Kittle and Gronkowski), on the field and a little bit off the field, too,” Garoppolo said. “George is tremendous. The energy he brings every day, how he goes about his business. He’s always having fun while he’s doing it. Very similar to Gronk, they both enjoy what they do. It makes everything more enjoyable. It’s fun to be around, and it’s contagious. To have a guy like that makes our team so much closer as well as much better.”

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is in another battle, but this time it’s not with the NFL. Instead, it’s all politics as he takes on the Texas establishment in an effort to legalize sports gambling in the state of Texas.

Weddle says Rams defensive back unit is the best of his career
Eric Weddle has lined up with plenty of defensive backs in his 12-year career, but speaking with the NFL Network, he has a new favorite before he’s even officially suited up for the Los Angeles Rams.
“Those guys (Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters) are super, super smart,” Weddle said. “The instincts are off the charts. Play-making ability … Those two are the best I’ve ever played with in my career of guys that play with vision, play the ball, understand routes, trust a safety that is going to alert them and put them in a position to make plays knowing that I have their backs.”
