There will be no rookie hold outs this year. Thursday afternoon the San Francisco 49ers announced they had reached a contract agreement with No. 2 overall pick Nick Bosa. Not long after, news dropped that Quinnen Williams, the No. 3 pick in April’s NFL Draft, and the New York Jets had reached a contract agreement. Both men will be in training camp on time.
The overall money in Bosa’s deal couldn’t be a factor, as the NFL collective bargaining agreement slots his pick number at four-years and $33.55 million with a fifth-year option. What probably stalled the signing was the size of the signing bonus and guaranteed cash.

Bosa played in just three games for Ohio State last season, recording 14 tackles, six for a loss, four sacks, one forced fumble and a defensive touchdown. In 2017, he played a full season with 34 tackles, 16 for a loss, 8.5 sacks and two passes defended.
Williams’ issue with the Jets was reportedly the deferred portion of his signing bonus. New York will hold some cash as a second-year bonus for the former Alabama defensive lineman, but not the amount they originally tried to push in the deal.
At long last: The #Jets and No. 3 overall pick DT Quinnen Williams have agreed to terms on his rookie contract, sources say. He’ll report.

As a sophomore with the Crimson Tide, Williams had 45 tackles, 19.5 for a loss, one pass defense and eight sacks.
Bosa and Williams were the last two first rounders unsigned.
Mike Daniels already being wooed
Defensive tackle Mike Daniels hasn’t been out of work a day and is already on a plane to a job interview. First up, the Cleveland Browns who have had one of the busiest offseasons in recent memory. Or at least since last year’s Los Angeles Rams.
The #Browns have cap space and a ton of connections with Mike Daniels, starting with Elliot Wolf and Alonzo Highsmith. Have to think they'll be involved in kicking the tires here.

Daniels is reportedly looking to join a contender and this new Browns team should definitely fit the bill. Daniels, of course, has links with the Cleveland front office. Current Browns general manager John Dorsey was the Green Bay Packers’ director of football operations when the former Iowa Hawkeye was drafted in 2012.
