The once-great Dark Knight has a new landing spot. The Oakland Athletics are the latest team to try to fix Matt Harvey, who fell out of favor with the Mets, Reds and Angels over the past year. Albert Pujols isn’t what he once was, but his career numbers still allow him to own quite a few records; he added another Wednesday. The Astros got good news on Gerrit Cole, and Charlie Manuel had a great return as Phillies hitting coach. All on a busy Wednesday in Major League Baseball.

It’s just a minor-league deal, but former Mets phenom Harvey could be up in September for the A’s.

With his 3,167th career hit Wednesday, Pujols passed Adrian Beltre for most all-time by a foreign-born player. Ichiro is third on the list.

The Astros can handle a week or two without Gerrit Cole. The good news for Houston is that it seems it won’t be longer than that.

It’s just one night, but Charlie Manuel’s first night as the Phillies hitting coach made the 74-year-old look like a miracle worker.

The Orioles won the season-opening series against the Yankees. They finished a remarkable 0-16 against them.
