Mohamed Sanu has worn No.12 for his entire NFL career. After being traded to the New England Patriots, it was assumed he would have to wear a different number. Tom Brady apparently gave Sanu the choice to have the number he has become synonymous with.

Sanu told reporters that Brady sent him a DM welcoming him to New England when he got traded. Then came the offer to wear No. 12.
What was Sanu’s response?
“Nah, you got that. I’ll change to 14.”
Tom Brady was obviously joking around with his newest teammate, but the Patriots are hoping Brady-to-Sanu provides a boost for their injury-riddled receiving corps. Sanu is on track to play this week against the Cleveland Browns, according to CBS Sports.
Sanu has caught 377 passes for 4,300 yards and 25 touchdowns while averaging 11.4 yards per catch over his eight year career. He joins a Patriots offense that is leading the league in scoring and is fifth in passing.
