The Denver Broncos can’t seem to get out of their own way. This week seemed like the same story unfolding for them again as they failed to close out yet another game and blew a late-game lead.
The Broncos actually led the entire game, except for the final 22 seconds when Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri hit a 51-yard field goal to steal the lead and the game. The Broncos offense had several opportunities to close things out in the final minutes, but failed to do so. The defining moment of the game was possibly when Denver chose to run the ball on third and five with the game on the line. which went for no gain.
This led to Joe Flacco calling out the playcalling and lack of aggressiveness by his coaches during his post game press conference.
A frustrated Joe Flacco after the loss: "We're now a 2-6 football team and we're afraid to go for it in a two minute drill… I just felt like, what do we have to lose? Why can't we be aggressive in some of these situations." pic.twitter.com/SYfqGPKqFE

The Broncos now sit at 2-6 with this being just the latest of their struggles. It remains to be seen if any hope is left for this season or if Denver is headed for last place in the AFC West this year.
