This cat report comes from ESPN, who says that the elusive cat is still on the loose.

Last we saw him, he was scurrying into the locker rooms after having his way with a national television audience for a solid 90 seconds. Now, a full search is on for the black cat known as the Monday Night Football cat.

The search started on Tuesday morning with multiple humane traps being stationed in the stadium. After that plan came up empty, stadium officials asked PuppykittyNYCity — a trap, neuter, release and no-kill shelter — for help.
Moreover, it doesn’t stop there. The stadium gives an official statement, which gives importance to how prominent the cat and finding him has become.
“We are hopeful that together we can find the black cat that we all fell in love with Monday night,” the stadium statement said. “Even though we want to relocate him, we still support TNR (trap, neuter, release) programs,” the nonprofit, volunteer-run rescue organization said in its release.
In one of the most famous and captivating sports-cat tales of all-time, Monday Night Football cat will likely go down in history. While he remains infamous and unfound, his legend lives on here forever in the Get More Sports Hall of Fame.
