While the game opened as a straight up pick em’ even line, currently the Rockets are a 2.5 point favorite. Without question, this is a huge test for the Clippers; who seem to finally be getting the mainstream respect they deserve as a team that can make some noise in the Western Conference.
Right now – all the talk has been about Leonard’s ‘load management – but should it be about his play? Leonard entered town saying he was going to take over, and his current numbers support that. For instance, he’s averaging 26.9 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game thus far this season.
Remember, Paul George is ruled out for the foreseeable future; but he should be back for the meat of the season and down the stretch.
