Sydney Cianciola and Sarah Robertson defeated Cathryn Rossi and Isabelle Lane 8-0 in the No. 1 doubles match to give Cornell its first victory of the day on the doubles courts.
The second victory of the day for the Big Red was an 8-0 victory in the second flight, this time by Monique Brual and Kendall Schrader over Abigail Rosman and Emily Ruhter. Hannah Bradvica and Susan Biederstedt’s 8-1 victory against Amber Sterrett and Kelsey Murphy at No. 3 pairs gave Denison a perfect sweep of the doubles competition.
Robertson (No. 2 singles) and Bradvica (No. 4 singles) both won 6-0, 6-0, while Biederstedt (No. 5 singles) won 6-1, 6-0. The Big Red, who needed just two more wins entering singles play, won three matches. Denison advanced to 15-7 on the year and made its 14th participation in the NCAA Tournament, while Pitt-Greensburg, who won its first conference tournament championship in school history and was also competing in the NCAA Tournament for the first time, finished the year at 15-5.
