Marzilio is now poised to participate in the Norman NCAA Regional at Jimmie Austin Golf Club as the second-seeded individual, with a chance to qualify for the NCAA Championship May 27-June 1 in Scottsdale, Arizona. The tournament begins on Monday and concludes on Wednesday.
Marzilio stated, “I’m feeling fantastic about my season.” It was quite consistent, and I played excellent golf every week. I had a great opportunity to win my second college competition, but it didn’t work out, but I’m glad I put myself in that position again. It’s all about maintaining a constant position. The LAAC was crucial in my continued mental development. It raised the standard, pushed me, and fueled my enthusiasm for the season.” Marzilio was ranked No. 119 in the most recent Golfstat survey and has been the team’s leader all season, with a 72.88 scoring average and a season-low score of 66 at the Louisiana Classics.
Last year, he tied for 21st place at the Stillwater Regional and learned what it needed to be successful at the big leagues.
