Siena Saints vs Cornell Big Red Preview and Pick

The Siena Saints visit Newman Arena at The Fieldhouse to take on the Cornell Big Red. Action gets underway at 7:00 pm ET on Tuesday, Dec. 1.

The Big Red lost a winnable game to Massachusetts-Lowell 80-77 on Sunday. Matt Morgan was the game’s leading scorer, recording 23 points. The Saints, meanwhile, are coming off a 90-82 win over Loyola Maryland on Saturday. Marquis Wright led the team in scoring by posting 21 points on 6-for-10 shooting.

Siena takes on Cornell as a seven-point favorite. The Over/Under (O/U) for the matchup is 147 points. The Big Red are still winless Against The Spread (0-3 ATS), but have managed a 3-4 Straight Up (SU) record to start the season. Siena has a habit of getting in foul trouble (23.5 fouls per game), so expect the Big Red to get a number of opportunities from the free throw line.

On the other side, the Saints head into the game with records of 1-1 ATS and 4-2 SU. The Siena defense has been a problem for competitors, allowing only .277 shooting from three-point range.

These two meet for what will be their first head-to-head battle of the season. Cornell won the last game in the matchup, evening up the two teams’ head-to-head record (2-2). However, with a 3-1 record, Cornell has the advantage ATS.

Predictions: SU Winner – Siena, ATS Winner – Siena, O/U – Over
